Telecommunications operator Zain Group has announced that it has commercially launched 5G services in Saudi Arabia.
The first phase of the rollout has been implemented through a network of 2,000 towers that will provide 5G services in 20 cities across the Kingdom.
This represents to date the largest 5G network deployment in the GCC region. It was also announced that there will be a further expansion of the network in a bid to extend the 5G coverage to 26 cities in Saudi Arabia by the end of 2019.
