Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has signed an agreement with Zain to offer digital transformation solutions to customers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
As part of the agreement, the two parties will work together on the design, launch and provision of hybrid cloud solutions to Zain’s customers.
HPE will also support Zain’s pioneering work to bring 5G connectivity to Saudi Arabia, with HPE’s IoT, big data and AI innovations helping Zain’s business customers to harness the data explosion enabled by 5G.
Collaborating with HPE and offering its world leading products and services will enable Zain’s IT services business to bid for government contracts, as well as grow its footprint in the Saudi business community. Under the agreement, Zain will have access to products and services from HPE’s entire portfolio, including Hybrid IT, Aruba and Pointnext. HPE will enable Zain to offer private cloud solutions and customized infrastructure with the joint HPE-Zain offering being hosted either in Zain’s data center or on customer premises.
Zain will also collaborate with HPE Pointnext to offer world leading advisory and professional services to their customers, including the design of Hybrid Cloud and Cybersecurity strategies, data migration from infrastructure refresh initiatives and Disaster Recovery services. As part of this, Zain will offer HPE GreenLake IT consumption models, allowing their customers to switch IT spending from capex to opex whilst gaining flexibility, increasing control and lower their total cost of ownership.
“We are delighted to partner with Zain and reinforce our commitment to positively contribute to Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation journey,” said Issa Al-Khamees, managing director Saudi Arabia, HPE. “Zain launched its IT services provision to business customers in January 2019 and this collaboration with HPE will significantly enhance the products and solutions that they can offer to their customers.”
