Omantel has renewed and expanded its Managed Services agreement with Ericsson for a further five years.

Oman outranked several advanced countries’ 4G speeds, such as the US, France, the UK, Germany and Sweden in addition to all Arab countries.
According to a company statement, “Omantel has started experimenting with 5G for the first time in the Sultanate in partnership with Ericsson MEA.”
The agreement between Omantel and Zain will create the third largest combined telecoms group in the MENA region, with 52 million customers.
