As the European Union’s deadline for being compliant with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) looms ahead, industry experts discuss the impact of this law.
The EU GDPR replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and was designed to harmonise data privacy laws across Europe and to protect and empower all EU citizens’ data privacy. The regulation also aims to reshape the way organisations across the region approach data privacy, according to eugdpr.org.
The deadline for all companies to be complaint with GDPR is 25th May, 2018.
