VMware is scheduled to hold its VMware Forum in Dubai today. The event is expected to bring 13,000 attendees expected to attend across 23 countries in EMEA.
According to VMware, the theme for 2012 is ‘Making the cloud work for you – The Innovation Opportunity’.
Sam Tayan, Managing Director, VMware MENA is expected to deliver the opening keynote followed by presentations from various VMware executives, in addition to speakers from organisations including Mubadala, all discussing the journey to the cloud.
“VMware Forum is a great way for customers to engage with VMware, its partners and peers to understand how cloud computing can deliver value to the business and be a catalyst for innovation outside of the IT department,” said Tayan. “Our aim is to provide attendees with practical advice, showcase customer results and demonstrate the technology in action. The agenda has something for everyone whether they are starting their virtualisation journey or considering moving their critical business applications into the cloud.”
VMware Forum is a one day event aimed at businesses of all sizes. It will provide invaluable insights into how to reduce IT complexity while improving security and accelerating how applications are built, deployed and run across the enterprise, the company said. The event is aimed at helping organisations decide on their cloud strategy whether it’s a private, public, or hybrid cloud environment, and align it with their individual business needs and goals.
Running in parallel to the VMware Forum, Partner Exchange on Tour will visit 19 locations over the next two months, representatives said. The event will allow partners to experience the best from VMware Partner Exchange 2012, VMware’s annual global partner conference, combined with regional insight to provide partners with the tools and information they need to successfully grow their sales revenue and foster the relationship with VMware and the partner network.
VMware Forum is in its first year in the Middle East and is a global event for VMware customers and interested parties.
