Built and designed in collaboration with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise the converged IT infrastructure includes unified communications & collaboration, data networking and wireless solutions, offering a secure, robust and high performing hospital network that reinforces the healthcare provider’s world class patient care facilities.
TUQNIA, an authorized partner of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise in UAE, was responsible for the deployment services.
As part of its digital transformation agenda, powered by electronic medical records (EMRs), mobile applications, web based call center and innovative healthcare technology, ESH looked to implement a powerful converged network solutions that worked across and beyond their facilities, to provide both medical professionals and patients secure remote access to critical applications and data.

The Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise new networking architecture was designed to support and seamlessly integrate with the hospital’s next generation healthcare technology and cutting edge medical equipment. Through this Digital transformation, ESH staff and employees receive quicker access to Electronic Medical Records and mission critical applications to deliver better patient satisfaction.
In addition, the new highly scalable infrastructure provides the massive capacity and coverage required by the growing number of wireless clinical and non-clinical devices across the ESH network, while maximising authentication and security.
The connected infrastructure helps ESH not only to improve the patient experience by providing them with a broad range of reliable and robust communication services, but also facilitates their nurses and other staff to collaborate quickly and on the move.
Designed to minimise IT complexity through a Unified Access solution that enables a “single pane of glass” management and visibility across the entire network – wired or wireless – resulted in 90% of the IT workload being streamlined. It is noteworthy to mention the single-vendor solution not only offers ESH with greater control over network status and operations, but generated CAPEX savings of over 35%, in less than 6 months.
