Paramount has joined hands with Trend Micro and provided Al Noor Training Centre for children with special needs with a robust anti-virus IT security solution. Paramount installed free, world renowned ‘Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security Solutions Advanced’ licensed software, donated by it’s star partner, in 100 computers networked to six servers. The solution protects the school’s email servers, Microsoft Windows servers, PCs, and laptops against data theft, malware and risky websites.
Commenting on the new IT security implementation, Isphana Al Khatib, Director, Al Noor Training Centre, said, “Before the Trend Micro anti-virus installation, our IT systems have been plagued by viruses and malware problems, upsetting the functioning of our training centre and causing a lot of security concerns. We did have an anti-virus software in place, but it was not working upto our expectations. Besides, the license was about to expire. We were pleased to have Paramount and Trend Micro approach us and provide us with free software licenses, installation and training. The system installation has been a big success and we are very grateful for the smart and simple solution that is ideal for our school”.
The Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs opened its doors in Dubai on November 21st, 1981, starting with only eight children and currently serves upto 300 children. The centre has been built through charities and the generosity of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Makhtoum, Vice President of UAE and Ruler of Dubai and it’s patron, HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein. The Institution has 100 computer workstations for the children to develop computer skills based on each individual’s ability. These computers need to be protected from malwares and web threats that can steal private information, drain PC resources or harm the reputation of the centre.
Paramount had a security consulting team on-site to integrate the security software into the school’s network. They also ensured sufficient knowledge transfer so that school staff could look after minor hiccups. The Trend Micro solution is protecting the school’s valuable assets and information, effectively blocking web-based threats and other malware. The bundled InterScan™ Messaging Hosted Security blocks the spam before it reaches the schools network. Trend Micro’s web threat protection hosted security technologies are constantly updated, requiring no configuration or local maintenance, and do not slow down computers. Multi-layer spam blocking means spam is stopped at the datacenter before it reaches the Email Server. This approach ensures network band-width, servers and disk space are not clogged with spam. The solution is easy to install and deploy, requiring zero administration. It’s automatic configuration provides the ideal combination of flexibility and security for the users.
