Schneider Electric chairman and CEO Jean-Pascal Tricoire today inaugurated the firm’s Innovation Hub on Wheels at Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSOA).
The Hub was inaugurated by Dr Mohammed Alzarooni, vice chairman and CEO of DSOA, and Osman Sultan, CEO of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company in the presence of senior officials from both private and public sectors.
Schneider was also showcasing its EcoStruxure architecture and platform that delivers IoT-enabled and interoperable solutions across user segments.
The launch was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA).
Designed to run digital demos using videos and customer references, the Innovation Hub on Wheels presents 17 user case studies across six domains of expertise that highlight the value of the EcoStruxure architecture. These user domains include building, transportation, water and waste water, oil and gas, utility and data centres.
Bringing the platform closer to its customers as well as to a broader audience including energy and tech entrepreneurs, the mobile concept can also easily relocate to exhibition sites.
In his inaugural address, Dr Mohammed Alzarooni said, “Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority has continually demonstrated excellence in implementing smart city initiatives to achieve the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to transform Dubai into the smartest and happiest city in the world. It is indeed heartening to note that our integrated hi-tech park is today regarded as a destination of choice for public and private sector entities in the tech domain. This excellence in smart city initiatives is a true reflection of our partnerships with like-minded associates such as Schneider Electric.”
He added, “Schneider Electric was the first French business partner we welcomed at Dubai Silicon Oasis in 2008. It is a long business relationship that we deeply value. We are proud to be part of Schneider Electric’s success and look forward to further collaborations with the organisation in achieving many more successful milestones.”
Tricoire said, “We are delighted to offer our customers and partners an opportunity to experience the wide range of EcoStruxure solutions through our Innovation Hub on Wheels. This unique digital asset is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a Smart Wall that showcases Schneider Electric’s comprehensive offerings, which we have successfully developed to meet the specific needs of the MEA region.”
Last week, DSOA hosted its fourth annual Entrepreneur Day at DTEC.
