Sage strengthens leadership team

Sage has announced the appointment of Jennifer Warawa as the EVP of Partners, Accountants, and Alliances, and will be reporting to president Blair Crump. Warawa is a ten-year veteran of Sage and an accountant by trade.  In her new role, she will take responsibility for leading the firm’s network of partners and accountants as they grow their businesses with Sage, as well as leading on technology alliances with partners such as Microsoft and Salesforce.

Warawa was previously the head of Product Marketing at Sage, where she was responsible for leading Sage’s portfolio of accounting products, including the market launches of Sage’s suite of core cloud accounting technology.  Warawa joined Sage in 2008 to run the accountant business in Canada, before being promoted to various leadership roles in accounting products, partners and marketing, and product marketing.

Following the appointment, Nick Goode, currently EVP for product management will oversee a merged Product Marketing and Product Management organisation, and take the role of EVP Product.

Blair Crump, president, Sage, said, “We have an impressive portfolio of new and improved products to help all of our partners win, and there is no-one more recognised or knowledgeable as an expert in our partner community than Warawa. She will be responsible for combining her deep product knowledge, her past experience of being a partner to Sage and her fantastic relationships around the world to help our partners go further and grow faster.”

Additionally, Sage also confirmed new leadership for two of its largest markets. Alan Laing, who preceded Warawa in her new role, will take the role of managing director for the UK and Ireland market where Sage is headquartered as the UK’s biggest tech company. And Nancy Harris, who had previously led Sage’s Canadian business will now head up the whole of the North America business as managing director.

Crump added, “We are proud to be the UK’s biggest tech company and Laing’s appointment reflects exactly what the business needs now – deep understanding of every customer – from entrepreneur to midmarket to enterprise. His incredible experience is an asset to our home market.”

“And in North America, our largest market, Harris will give partners, customers, and investors alike the reassurance that we are ready to build on major investments, like the recent Sage Summits. These new appointments set the direction for our business and should send a clear message that we are accelerating our momentum in creating and marketing world class technology.”
