SafeNet, a provider of data protection solutions today announced the appointment of Miguel Braojos as vice president of sales Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa (SEMEA). The appointment comes as part of the company strategy to increase investment and focus in the region, as part of which Braojos will be working closely with local country teams with a primary objective to establish further growth plans and achieve results for this region.

Miguel Braojos joined SafeNet in February 2012, from Thales eSecurity, where he was the sales VP for Southern EMEA and South Asia. Braojos holds a Masters degree in Engineering and Business Administration with a 20-year career in the technology field.
SafeNet will continue to invest in expanding its business in the Middle East through marketing, channel development and software offerings to customers, the company said. The company has also reported increased revenue year-on-year having tripled growth between 2007 and 2010 in the Middle East.
