Ruckus Wireless on Monday announced that it had officially certified four Fibre Optic Supplies and Services (FOSS) IT network specialists in the UAE as Ruckus Certified Network Administrators (RCNAs).
The certification means that these FOSS channel partners now have the necessary skills to deploy, administer and support wireless network deployments in the UAE and the rest of the Middle East, Ruckus said.
The certification followed three days of instructor-led exercises and exams, which were held at FOSS’s Dubai Investment Park office.
“RCNA certification is intended for Ruckus partners and network administrators who manage ZoneDirector-controlled wireless networks,” said Nader Baghdadi, Middle East Regional Director, Ruckus.
“The RCNA certification bundles together a certification exam with the related hands-on, instructor-led training. Such achievement demonstrates the partners’ ability to complete complex tasks and provides the end-user with the required trust factor.”
Along with being able to deploy ZoneDirector controllers, the newly certified FOSS partners will also be able to deploy ZoneFlex access points.
“By ensuring our key IT network specialists achieve RCNA status, we are showing our continued commitment to a successful business relationship between the two companies, and look forward to continue working closely together to help our mutual customers reach their full business potential with the most advanced Wi-Fi technology in the market,” said Jim Underwood, Technical Director, FOSS.
FOSS has been a Ruckus partner in the UAE and Qatar since early 2012, and has completed a number of major Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi implementations at customer sites in the education and government sectors.
