Riverbed has promoted Elie Dib to the position of Managing Director for the Middle East and North, Central and West Africa (MENA) region.
Dib, who was previously regional head of channels at the company, will now see his role expanded to include management of the sales, technical and channel teams in an effort to increase engagement with existing customers and drive penetration into new verticals and key markets.
He will report to Taj Elkhayat, who himself was recently promoted to Regional Vice President, Middle East, Turkey, North, West, and Central Africa. “As the channel head, Elie ensured that our go-to-market channel strategy was successfully implemented,” Elkhayat said. “He has demonstrated a keen understanding of the Riverbed Application Performance Platform and our portfolio of solutions, and is the ideal candidate to help position the company as a key technology provider for the hybrid enterprise.”
Dib will be tasked with growing the company’s customer base in key markets such as the UAE, Qatar, Oman and Egypt, and fostering deeper engagement with the channel as well as Riverbed’s Alliance partners such as EMC and Microsoft.
“Current market dynamics in the MENA region play to the strengths of Riverbed and our vision for the hybrid enterprise is one that resonates very strongly in board rooms,” Dib said. “I am excited for the opportunity to engage with customers and build momentum around the Riverbed application performance solutions portfolio.”
