The region’s first online marketplace for furniture and equipment rental has launched in the Middle East.
RentSher (www.rentsher.ae) offers “flexible renting options at competitive prices” for a range of items, including furniture, inflatables, tents, ACs, heaters, electronics, medical equipment and travel essentials.
Established in 2016, RentSher aims to allow customers to hire products that are only occasionally used around the home and at events.
With over 1,000 products across multiple verticals, RentSher provides a “seamless” renting approach for both short and long term purposes.
RentSher’s online platform provides rental vendors an opportunity to benefit financially by showcasing their inventory and attracting new customers without investing in their own website.
“The rental industry is a multi-billion dollar market, and we are on a mission to revolutionise the UAE rental market for event furniture and equipment, laptops, medical equipment and travel essentials, and bring it into the 21st century,” said Vaibhav Doshi, CEO of RentSher Middle East.
“Our goal with RentSher Middle East is simply to make renting as easy and transparent as possible. The feedback from customers and vendors has been very encouraging” said Purvashi Doshi, the firms’s director for customer and supplier happiness.
Since its launch, RentSher has recorded double digit growth, which has attracted the attention of leading technology investors. The startup is currently in the process of raising seed funding and will be sharing details once the round is closed.
RentSher’s Middle East operations hopes to replicate and adapt the same business model as the one RentSher currently has in home country India, as it embarks on expansion plans across the region.
