Optimus Technology and Telecommunications, a regional value added distributor (VAD) of IT and telecommunications products and its vendor partner, Bitdefender recently held a ‘Channel Readiness’ program for its partners.
The program included presentations, demonstrations and training on Bitdefender’s range of security solutions. Through this program, Optimus was able to expand Bitdefender’s channel network by signing on new partners, while simulataneously training and empowering them to successfully become authorised Bitdefender resellers in the region.
“Bitdefender’s products, including their new virtual and cloud products, are unique and are ranked amongst the leading security solutions globally. This program also helped us on board more partners and expand the company’s channel reach in the region.”

The distributor has also been creating and establishing the security vendor’s value channel network by conducting channel development activities such as training and consultancy to enable partners to sell Bitdefender’s solutions better.
Through its value added services portfolio called Optimus 360, Bitdefender resellers are offered training, certifications, skill development, consultancy services to help them sell solutions; marketing as a service through Optimus Primero; and an entire host of capacity building services to enable them to position and sell the product efficiently and effectively, representatives said. The company also trains partners to enhance their service capabilities and address customer requirements appropriately through their training arm, Optimus Academy.
