Smarter mobile broadband services for Vodafone Egypt subscribers
Operator upgrades to Nokia Siemens Networks’ One-NDS solution to better manage subscriber data
Vodafone Egypt subscribers will soon enjoy a suite of flexible, convergent and highly targeted services. The operator is modernizing its subscriber database management solution and has upgraded to Nokia Siemens Networks’ One-NDS offering. This will allow Vodafone to manage the data of its 23 million plus mobile customer base comprising prepaid, postpaid and hybrid subscribers to offer a personalized end user experience.
“With a predominant prepaid subscriber base typically generating low revenues per user, Egypt holds all the characteristics of a rapidly growing mobile market,” said Walid Eissa, Managing Director, Vodafone Egypt. “Staying competitive demands introduction of new features and services with an improved time-to-market. Nokia Siemens Networks’ One-NDS solution will enable us to do just that – broadening usage across businesses, families and communities.”
“Vodafone Egypt may seem ahead of the curve, investing in technology that will dictate end user applications in the future, but it is a well-planned decision,” added Ayman Saad, CT Cluster Head, at Nokia Siemens Networks. “Integrating our Subscriber Data Management solution into Vodafone’s legacy system will allow it to analyze current market segments, access new avenues and most importantly, increase subscriber loyalty.”
One-NDS will enable VF Egypt to choose the appropriate features to attract additional subscribers and usage by introducing new services in a highly competitive market.
In addition to the One-NDS implementation, Nokia Siemens Networks will also be responsible for the entire project management, network planning and optimization. The comprehensive SDM solution will enhance Vodafone’s operations and processes leading to a faster and higher return on investment.
