Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) has unveiled its AI-powered flagship smartphones – the Mate 10 series in the Middle East and Africa region.
According to the firm, the new Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and Porsche design Mate 10 devices are set to deliver the ultimate intelligent experience for regional consumers by providing more comprehensive mobile intelligence through Mobile AI.
Huawei also highlighted that the Mate 10 Series goes beyond smart, using the AI application ecosystem to make the smartphone so intelligent with personalised AI applications that it completely changes smart applications and delivers a faster, stronger and seamless smartphone experience to users. The devices are equipped with AI processor for smartphones, which according to the company brings ‘greater efficiency and optimised performance.’

Powered by the Kirin 970, Huawei’s new smartphone System-on-a-Chip (SoC) which combines an 8-core CPU, a new generation 12-core GPU, and a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to power AI computing. Most importantly, the performance of the Kirin 970 NPU is unparalleled with 25 times that of a CPU (Central Processing Unit) and with 50 times the efficiency of a CPU.
Providing the world’s fastest 4.5G experience, the HUAWEI Mate 10 Series smartphones only require a few seconds to load and play 4K online. The devices are also the world’s first smartphone with Dual 4G SIM support enabling each SIM to make calls and browse simultaneously.
The new devices are also integrated with the Dubai Font, which has been implemented in line with Huawei CBG’s partnership with The Executive Council.
In partnership with Leica, the renowned camera maker, the Mate 10 Series is the first Intelligent Photography smartphone that turns every shot into a perfect memory. The Huawei Mate 10 Series features a new Leica SUMMILUX-H camera with f/1.6 aperture to capture more light for low-light photography. Powered by Kirin 970’s dual ISP and Snapshot with AI Motion Detection, users can capture wonderful moments of children running or playing sports. AI-powered Real-Time Scene and Object Recognition with Real-Time Auto Settings allows the camera to automatically adjusts and chooses settings to help users capture better photographs in a range of different environments.
The advanced AI-powered Battery Management technology used in Huawei’s Mate 10 Series allows for full day use with the 4000mAh battery with smart power-saving technology, as well as smarter power management technology to personalise system settings, optimise background applications and push notifications for each user, maximising power efficiency and increasing battery life.
Powered with Huawei SuperCharge technology, the HUAWEI Mate 10 Series devices support 4.5V/5A low-voltage fast charging. The Mate 10 Series features the world’s first TÜV Safety Certified Huawei SuperCharge technology, the strictest certification of its kind in the world. Safety certification is based on the entire charging system including the charger, cables, IC, and battery for end-to-end charging safety.

The Huawei Mate 10 is available for purchase at the Huawei brand store located on level 2 at The Dubai Mall and across leading retailers. Huawei Mate 10 64 GB is available in Mocha Brown and Black colors at a price of AED 2,299 while Mate 10 Pro 128 GB will be available in Mocha Brown, Titanium Gray and Midnight Blue colours at a price of AED 2,999 from end of November.
