Honeywell has launched its home automation solution in the Middle East. The latest technology provides occupants of premium apartments and villas full control over key elements impacting their comfort and security, all from a single user interface. This includes the ability to control air conditioning, lighting, window curtains, electrical sockets and garage doors, as well as the monitoring indoor and outdoor CCTV systems.
The full solution, which is designed for greenfield residential projects, consists of multi-level architecture ranging from designer control modules that suit multiple décor options, easily customisable control buttons, a simple navigation scheme with 360° panoramic images support and an app that can control the devices from within the villa or apartment. The technology enhances living experiences, while making controlling home atmospheres easier and highly customisable.
Norm Gilsdorf, president, Honeywell, Middle East, Russia, Turkey and Central Asia, said: “Connectivity is at the core of everything we do at Honeywell, and we have leveraged our long experience in home comfort and automation to present the best technology available to enhance residential experiences here in the Middle East. In this region, there has been increasing demand for automated home solutions, and we are excited to introduce this at a time when many new premium residential projects are under development.”
Honeywell’s home automation solution brings together and connects different systems within Honeywell’s home portfolio and puts them at the occupant’s fingertips. From a single user-friendly interface, homes can manage themselves by simply dragging and dropping floating control icons. The system allows users to navigate an apartment or villa by simply swiping through different rooms and floors. House-specific floor plans, images of different rooms and icons can be easily replaced without any need of professional support, while moods can be set up to control comfort settings and ambience.
