Pure Storage has announced that it has retained its position in the Leaders Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Solid State Arrays (SSAs) by Gartner. For the third straight year, Pure Storage is positioned furthest along the “Completeness of Vision” axis in the Leaders Quadrant.
In 2016, Pure Storage continued to open new markets with the unveiling of FlashBlade, the first all-flash array for unstructured data. The company’s Evergreen Storage business model, recently expanded to include the Right-Size Guarantee and Capacity Consolidation, changes the way storage is built, sold, and also managed and maintained over time.
According to the company, Evergreen Storage is its pledge to enable customers to take advantage of the latest flash technology as it becomes available, via non-disruptive upgrades – avoiding the forklift upgrade that typically dominated their old purchasing cycles. Pure Storage’s laser focus on relationships continues to drive industry-best customer satisfaction – as evidenced by a Satmetrix-certified net promoter score (NPS) of 79.
In 2015, Pure experienced a 122 percent increase in its customer base, which stretches across more than 50 countries and includes companies such as LinkedIn, Mercedes AMG PETRONAS Formula One, the San Francisco Giants and Workday. Pure has also continued its leadership in innovation, expanding its IP portfolio to include more than 500 patents and patent applications.
“It has been an action-packed 12 months for Pure Storage– starting with the IPO, continuing on through the revolution of FlashBlade and culminating with this most recent recognition from Gartner,” said Scott Dietzen, CEO, Pure Storage. “In order to best serve our customers as a long-term partner, it’s crucial that we continue to execute at the pace we have while building a sustainable business for the future. We believe to be positioned in the Leaders Quadrant for three straight years validates our technology differentiation continues to be very real.”
