Cognizant recently announced it was named a “Leader” in the “The Forrester Wave: Business Technology Transformation, Q3 2012,” published July 19, 2012. The Forrester Research report evaluated and scored Cognizant Business Consulting (CBC), Cognizant’s consulting practice, on the basis of a comprehensive methodology across 18 criteria relating to current offering, strategy, and market presence.
Cognizant was among the vendors to receive the highest possible scores for vision, business organisation, management credentials, and case studies. Cognizant “has a very strong vision; its client references were superb—both on the business and technology side—and it is clear that it deeply understands technology-enabled business transformation. Cognizant is the company to watch in this space in 2012 and 2013,” the report stated.
According to the report, CBC offers high-value consulting services that help clients improve business performance, increase competitive advantage through added efficiency and effectiveness, lower operational expenses, and realise innovation and virtualisation strategies. In addition, the company operates across 10 vertical industries, including financial services, consumer goods and healthcare, and six horizontal practices that specialise in cross-industry capabilities such as analytics, program management, and customer solutions.
“We are pleased to have been cited by Forrester Research as a Leader in technology-enabled business transformation, and are especially pleased with our strong client references,” said Mark Livingston, senior VP, Consulting, Cognizant. “We feel that Cognizant’s ranking as a leader speaks to the strength of our vision for and deep understanding of business transformation, driven by a global team of consultants with a mix of cross-industry skills and deep industry knowledge. Our unique integrated consulting approach transcends strategy, process, people, and technology, and enables our clients to achieve a ‘business without boundaries’ operating model, creating flexible business and IT models that are adaptive to the converging forces represented by the global and virtual nature of international business.”
