FDC ProValue recently launched a channel event for ZTE, a global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, with the aim of introducing its product and brand to the UAE channel. With an audience of more than 80 partners, the distributor along with the vendor discussed the company’s strength and breadth of products. The event also discussed how the channel partners could benefit from ZTE and its expectations from the channel.
The channel partners also had an opportunity to get familiar with the company’s products that were on display and also experienced a live demonstration of video conferencing.
“We had a fun demonstration of live video conferencing, where the audience could see me discussing seriously with the hotel staff on why there was no dinner arranged, live on the screen from the ballroom. The idea was to showcase ZTE’s leadership in HD super clear telepresence,” said Alan Pourmirza, Marketing and Infrastructure Manager, FDC International.
ZTE has quite a few plans for the channel in the second half of this year. First priority for the company is to cooperate with partners to develop the channel business in MEA region such as KSA, UAE, Qatar, Oman and Algeria. The company will also provide regular training for partners and encourage them to undergo the certification training in China. Events such as Gitex will continue to be important platforms for the company to market and brand the products.
ZTE plans to bring technologies such as routing, switching, CPE, wireless, video conferencing. The company said the channel partners will benefit through the channel programme, through which the vendor will support them with projects, marketing activities, pricing and availability. Partners will also have a better scope to make more margins by building support infrastructure for their customers for which the company will provide training. Additionally, an advanced training is also provided free of cost from ZTE University at China Headquarters provided the right candidate is represented and who has capability to understand and pass the exams, said the company.
