Epicor Software Corporation, a provider of business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organisations, today announced that Oman-based Zawawi Business Machines LLC (ZBM) has been appointed Value-Added Reseller (VAR) as part of the software giant’s expansion strategy for the Middle East.
ZBM is a subsidiary of OMZEST Group, one of Oman’s premier and most diversified business groups which has interests in construction, contracting, manufacturing, services, training, education, trading and agency representation. ZBM, which was founded in 1986, provides comprehensive IT solutions, services, infrastructure and human resources to bolster the competitiveness and performance of today’s increasingly technology-dependent businesses, the company said.
“Epicor was positioned as a Visionary in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant (MQ) for ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) for product-centric midmarket companies, which is testament to its pioneering business software solutions. With the market leading technologies that Epicor has to offer, which are more advanced than those of other major ERP providers, we are certain that we can now offer solutions to enable our customers to more effectively manage their business,” said Rakesh KP, CEO of Zawawi Business Machines. “Epicor is the perfect fit for our corporate ethos of providing professional solutions that best suit our client requirements.”
“We are delighted to appoint ZBM as a VAR for Oman,” said Purushothaman Natarajan, channel manager for Epicor in the Middle East. “We were looking to appoint a partner that would actively cultivate our market share and professionally implement our solutions quickly and cost effectively. We are proud to collaborate with ZBM as they have a proven track record as a leading IT solutions provider in Oman.”
“With the government’s on-going local IT initiatives, the IT market in Oman is poised for substantial expansion. Our alliance with ZBM will give us the opportunity to capitalise on this growth and establish Epicor as a market leader in the region,” added Anish Kanaran, regional director for Epicor in the Middle East.
Global business software leader, Epicor recently made key changes to its regional strategies to accelerate its expansion plans across the Middle East, Africa, Turkey and India. The company currently has more than 20 partners across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
