Epicor is flaunting its industry-specific ERP solutions from its Hall 7 berth.
Roger Ling, Senior Manager, Cloud Product Marketing, APAC, was keen to emphasise the flexibility that the company’s products can offer.
“Our exhibition’s theme is ‘Grow business, not software,’” he said. “Our ERP is available on-premise or in the cloud, but that doesn’t mean that a client’s ERP has to be permanently housed in either environment. If they decide the cloud isn’t for them and want to go back to on-premise they can do so, and likewise for a move to cloud.”
Ling conceded that the ERP market was very saturated, but he believes that Epicor is well positioned to cater for a selection of relatively niche customers.
“We’re not a jack of all trades,” he said. “That’s why we only focus on providing ERP for the manufacturing, distribution and services industries. Linear operations are important to these customers; they demand efficiency of equipment.
“With a range of companies facing the reality of lower budgets, they need to arm themselves with the best possible information to meet their business requirements and respond as quickly as possible.”
Ling couldn’t hide his enthusiasm for the 36th annual GITEX. “It’s the place to be,” he said. “It gives us a great chance to reconnect with customers and demonstrate what we can bring to the market.”
