EMC yesterday announced an expanded portfolio of cloud services to help customers accelerate the adoption, consumption, optimisation and management of cloud technologies.
The new services help customers accelerate their IT transformation initiatives, enabling IT to deliver ITaaS to their clients faster, the company said.
It added that the portfolio addresses the transformation of people, process and technology, and ranges from strategy and business case development to design and deployment, support, optimisation, and education.
EMC’s portfolio now includes Cloud Infrastructure Services, Cloud Optimized Applications and End-user Computing.
The company said its joint vision, technology alignment and services capabilities for cloud computing are aligned with VMware and its ability to leverage best-of-breed technologies from strategic relationships with Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and VCE is unparalleled.
It added that these new services also enable its Velocity partner ecosystem to achieve greater competitiveness and profitability by complementing their portfolios with EMC’s expertise and industry-leading services capabilities.
“This announcement represents an evolution and expansion of EMC’s cloud services portfolio,” said Howard Elias, president and COO of EMC information infrastructure and cloud services.
“EMC is now bringing our customers a comprehensive set of services to help them transform their IT operations to an agile as-a-service model to enable significantly reduced OpEx and CapEx as well as improved business alignment. Organisations value EMC as a strategic partner, with the vision, proven experience and ability to engage with them throughout the technology lifecycle as they pursue their journey to the cloud,” he added.
