DarkMatter has announced its headlining participation at the Intelligence Support Systems for Lawful Interception, Electronic Surveillance and Cyber Intelligence Middle East event (ISS World Middle East).
The event represents the largest gathering of regional law enforcement, intelligence and homeland security analysts, and is scheduled to take place at the JW Marriott, Dubai on 15 and 16 March, 2016. It is closed to the general public and open only to Government, private enterprise investigators, telecom operators and security solutions providers.
DarkMatter will be present at the event with members of its senior management team. Throughout the event, the cybersecurity company will discuss a range of cyber security topics.
This exclusive session is open to law enforcement and intelligence attendees only, with Harshul Joshi, Senior Vice President of Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance; Stephen Brennan, Senior Vice President of Cyber Network Defence; Scott Rea, Senior Vice President, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Dr. Najwa Aaraj, Vice President, Special Projects; participating.
Harshul Joshi is set to explore the latest trends and ways in which cyber regulations and laws can help in increasingly connected environments in his presentation entitled, ‘Can Cyber Security regulations help the authorities?’. He will also be explaining the impact of breaches and response preparations.
Stephen Brennan’s presentation is entitled ‘10 Commandments of Cyber Counter Intelligence’, in which he will showcase ways in which organisations can achieve measurable gains in their security posture through deeply embedding highly specialised teams of trained cyber counter-intelligence experts within the hackers’ trust zone.
In ‘Through the looking glass: can I trust you or not?,’ Scott Rea will discuss the common components of trust infrastructures and how each element contributes to determining if trust is achieved or not. Using PKI as an example, Scott will showcase ways in which the absence or deficiency of trust framework components can lead to overall trust not being established.
Dr. Najwa Aaarj’s presentation, entitled ‘Securing the Mobile, Embedded and Cyber Physical Systems’, will address the challenges posed by an embedded system, considering various hardware and software co-design methodologies and architectures for securing a structure entirely across its software stack. Dr. Aaraj will also examine the practical attacks against secure implementations and consider the required countermeasures typically not covered by theoretical security proofs and models.
