Brocade has announced that it will be exhibiting at GITEX Cloud Confex and showcasing its comprehensive portfolio of solutions for cloud-optimised networks. Cloud Confex will take place between 9-11 October 2011 at Sheikh Maktoum Hall, Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Speaking about the company’s participation, Hassan Hamadani, marketing and business development manager for emerging markets at Brocade said, “GITEX is an important event in our calendar as it gives us an opportunity to interact with our key audience. GITEX Cloud Confex is slated to be the largest cloud platform in The Middle East, featuring all the leading industry players. This is a great platform for Brocade to demonstrate all the latest cloud-optimized networking innovations that the company has introduced in the recent past. Brocade’s comprehensive portfolio of products and open-architecture solutions are designed to help customers migrate smoothly to private, public and hybrid cloud models and virtualised environments”.
“Through our participation at the event, we hope to generate new opportunities from service provider companies wishing to offer cloud services to their customers, as well as enterprise companies looking to simplify and optimise their data centre networks and embrace the cloud,” Hamadani said.
At Cloud Confex, according to Brocade, it will be promoting Virtual Cluster Switching, (VCS), a new class of Brocade-developed ethernet fabric technologies designed to address the unique requirements of virtualized data centres. The Brocade VDX family of data centre switches is the first to deliver Brocade VCS technology and this will be on display, representatives said. These switches that are designed to improve network utilisation, maximise application availability, increase scalability and dramatically simplify network architectures in highly virtualised data centres, Brocade said.
The company will also be demonstrating the ServerIron ADX Series of high-performance application delivery controllers that provide a broad range of application optimisation functions to ensure the reliable delivery of critical applications, the company added. This product accelerates application performance and improves application availability, while making the most efficient use of existing infrastructure, according to reports. These switches also act as a seamless gateway between existing IPv4 networks and new ones built on IPv6, Brocade said.
