Asus has introduced a 5G WiFi enabled gaming notebook – the ROG G75VW.
The notebook features Broadcom’s 5G WiFi chip, which delivers up to three times faster Ethernet speeds, while also being six times more power efficient than previous generations of WiFi, the company said.
“Asus is committed to designing products that feature the most cutting-edge technology available. 5G WiFi is a gateway technology that promises to deliver the best online user experience yet,” said Leon Yu, regional director for Asus. “We recognised the power of this next generation standard early on and committed to it being one of the first to offer an ecosystem of products powered by faster, more reliable WiFi. The ROG G75VW gaming notebook is one of them. Today, we’re delivering on that promise”.
Designed for demanding gamers the Asus ROG G75VW features Intel third generation Core i7 processors and Nvidia GeForce GTX 660M/GTX 670M GPUs with up to 3GB of GDDR5 VRAM, a combination apt for fluid and detailed 3D gaming, it was reported.
The machine also supports up to 16GB of high speed DDR3 RAM, as well as dual hard drives, which can be setup to run in RAID 0 or RAID 1 mode, representatives said.
The G75VW redefines what is possible with a gaming notebook, and its dual-fan intelligent thermal design ensures improved cooling for added stability. Active shutter glasses with Nvidia 3D LightBoost technology complement its Full HD screen, while the built-in subwoofer and Asus SonicMaster Lite audio help to further enhance and complete the gaming experience, the company added.
