Aptec Distribution and Track Distribution, part of Aptec Holdings, a large Value-Add distributor in Middle East, has successfully hosted two Aptec Business Forums for its channel partners: in Kuwait and Qatar.
According to company representatives, both events were a huge success, attended collectively by more than 150 reseller companies, who were excited to welcome Aptec representatives to showcase Aptec’s portfolio of products to the channel.
More than 20 representatives of senior and mid level Aptec management travelled for each of the Forums to meet partners in countries and discuss possibilities of strengthening business cooperation. Represented by all the business units of Aptec and Track Distribution, members of Aptec finance team and managers of ATS (Advanced Technology Services – professional services company of Aptec group), Aptec briefed resellers on the strategic value proposition offered by the distributor and key benefits of being Aptec channel partners.
“As a distributor, we have a commitment to our partners to help them maximise revenue opportunities and this road show highlighted some unique solutions offered by our vendors,” said Bahaa Salah, MD for Aptec Distribution. “In the current economic scenario, it is important for the channel to offer the right balance of products, services and solutions that will give their customers a measurable ROI. We feel we have the right tools to help them do this.”
Govind Haridas, business unit manager for security and storage at Aptec Distribution agreed. According to Haridas, resellers are the backbone of Aptec’s business operations in the region. “This road show gave us the opportunity to re-introduce our business units and the various vendors we represent along with the latest offerings from them. We could also present our value proposition to our customers while updating them of the latest initiatives at Aptec.”
“This month’s Aptec Business Forums in Kuwait and Qatar were another 2 great initiatives to personally meet with Key Executives of the local IT Channel Community to keep the finger on the pulse of local and regional developments within the ICT business. I enjoyed the most having interactive sessions with all participants, as those help us to understand the local requirements to support the channel and grow the business to the next level,” added Mario Veljovic, GM of Advanced Technology Services (ATS), Aptec’s own professional services company.
“Regional focus and in-country channel development is Aptec’s strategic direction during year 2012. We have conducted two Business Forums now in Kuwait and Qatar, which signed the beginning of Aptec’s plan in strengthening regional presence and relationship with channel partners in GCC countries specifically”, said Svetlana Sorokina, regional marketing manager of Aptec Group. “These Forums gave us the opportunity to meet all our partners in Kuwait and Qatar and to understand their specialisation level on the latest technologies (data centre solutions, cloud computing, disaster recovery, virtualisation, etc). Based on the information we gathered on our partners’ expertise and their targeted market verticals, we have now a solid strategy on how to align ourselves with them as Value-Added Distributor”, she added.
Aptec also took this opportunity to launch a special promotion for its partners in Kuwait and Qatar, who attended the conference. Resellers were given slabs of achievements, where they can win exciting prizes starting from electronic devices to weekend stay at Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, fully paid trip for two for two nights.
Aptec plans similar road shows across other GCC countries soon.
