Apple is being sued by Via Technologies in the US over three patents for microprocessors.
Bloomberg reported that Via alleges Apple has infringed on three of its patents for microprocessors used in mobile phones and tablet computers.
The complaint was filed this week in federal court in Wilmington, Delaware. Via is said to be seeking a jury trial and a banning order on the sales of Apple products using the disputed technologies in the US. Though individual products aren’t specified in the report, Via’s complaint would seem to cover the iPhone, iPad and at least one iPod.
“The products at issue generally concern microprocessors included in a variety of electronic products such as certain smartphones, tablet computers, portable media players and other computing devices,” the complaint reads.
Apple is currently involved in a number of different patent disputes with companies including HTC and Samsung.
