Alok is a postgraduate in management. He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) professional, Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), and Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).
Alok is a prominent speaker on information security and IT governance, risk, and compliance domain.
Alok has served in various leadership positions in corporates, his professional journey includes Director Governance, Risk, and Compliance – Agthia, Global Head of Enterprise Risk at HCL Technologies, Director of Governance Risk and Audit at BRS Ventures, Head of Internal Audit of Mazrui Holdings (Private equity group) and head of IT Audit at ADNOC Distribution (National oil company of Abu Dhabi). Alongside this, he was a senior consultant at KPMG UAE and India.
Alok was part of a team that coauthored COBIT 5 for Risk, Professional Proactive Framework and is currently part of ISACA’s Risk Advisory group. He has been a subject matter expert reviewer for the CISA review manual, the CRISC review manual, CGEIT review manual.
Alok has served in various positions on the ISACA UAE board and currently serving as president. ISACA is USA based nonprofit organization that supports IT Governance, Risk, and Assurance initiative worldwide.
Alok has work experience in industry Healthcare, Investment Management, IT Advisory, Business Consulting, Capital Market, Private Equity, Energy, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Leasing, Oil and Gas, Engineering, Marine Construction, Banking and Finance, Information Communication & Technology, and Retailing & Distribution
Alok has been an active Toastmaster and served in various positions division director, area director, and Audit Committee chair of District 105, Toastmaster International.
Alok achieved the Distinguished Toastmasters education award four times (first to achieve this in the entire region).
Alok was an active sportsman during his college days, he was part of the university team, and he was the captain of the university team that reached into quarterfinals of the Rohinton Baria Trophy, a national level completion of cricket.
