Dubai Electronic Security Centre (DESC) in partnership with the University of Sharjah today launched the UAE’s first Internet of Things security test bed at Careers UAE 2018.
The test bed is a research-based interactive platform specialised in analysing data, identifying vulnerabilities, and detecting security breaches in commercial IoT devices. It allows organisations to verify the effectiveness of existing cybersecurity measures on their IoT enabled devices.
Dr. Al Blooshi, Director of Research and Innovation at DESC said, “We are proud of our partnership with the UoS and looking forward to more rewarding collaborations in future. Dubai Electronic Security Centre is keen to work with public and private entities, particularly academic organisations on initiatives that are focused on developing competencies for the future.”
She added, “Through Dubai Cyber Security Strategy, we aim to develop and implement cyber security practices that will secure the digital transformation of Dubai into the safest electronic city in the world. The launch of the IoT security test bed today is a constructive step in that direction.”
