Dubai’s crown prince and chairman of its executive council, HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has compared the emirate’s evolution to that of search engine giant Google in a series of Tweets having met with the firm’s co-founder Sergey Brin.
Sergey Brin is also president of Google’s parent company, Alphabet Inc.
In a series of tweets, Shaikh Hamdan explained how the history behind Google is similar to that of Dubai.
He tweeted, “Sergey and his friend Larry Page founded Google from a dorm room and today the company is worth over $600 billion. Their goal is to organise the world’s knowledge and make it available for all.”

“Sergey and Larry’s inspiring story is similar to Dubai’s story – We both share a desire to build the future. They created the future of knowledge; we created a model city for the future of urbanism,” added Sheikh Hamdan.
