Infoblox and Fortinet have announced that a security seminar entitled ‘Together We Protect’ at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 30th May, which the two companies will jointly host.

Cherif Sleiman, General Manager, Middle East, Infoblox, said, “We are in the midst of a wave of IT transformation and modernisation. Regional organisations need to focus on security as the number one area of IT spend given the fact that not only is the threat landscape constantly changing, but also the political turmoil in certain countries is adding another dimension of cyber warfare. DNS has become the number one threat vector today – whether for denial of service or data exfiltration. Malware is another of the biggest threats. Today’s trends like SDN and cloud have de-emphasised the network. Network attacks will move to application attacks and attacks on DNS infrastructure, because without applications and DNS, organisations cannot transact business. With Fortinet we will educate regional CIOs and IT managers about how they can adopt a layered approach to security and plug security gaps.”

The presentations will cover security topics including malware and mitigation of DNS exploits, fortifying end-point security through audit, compliance and network automation. Also, the event will highlight how joint solutions from Fortinet and Infoblox can provide regional organizations security without compromise and an integrated end-to-end security solution for business through actionable network intelligence that is open, scalable and secure from the core.

“With the current threat landscape, DDoS attacks, sophisticated attacks on the infrastructure, and complex new protocols like IPv6 on the way, organizations in the Middle East must prepare themselves by implementing the latest technologies,” said Alain Penel, Vice President, Middle East, Fortinet.
