Hoping to make a big push into the mobility segment, Logicom Dubai recently signed a distribution agreement with ZTE Corporation, one of China’s largest smartphone and tablet vendors.
Under the terms of the agreement, Logicom will distribute ZTE’s products across the UAE and further Middle East. The two parties hope that this will accelerate the adoption of ZTE devices across the region.
”As the world’s fifth largest smartphone maker, ZTE believes that the Middle East market is one of the fastest growing regions worldwide for the mobile industry, which defines the success rate and the acceptability of particular mobile models,” says Zhang Rui, Marketing Director, ZTE.
“Our cooperation with Logicom is a step forward for us to ensure that quality products with the best features reach end users. This will play a pivotal part of our relationship with Logicom and will ensure we are offering a variety of mobiles and other complementary products to the Middle East market.”
On Logicom’s side, the distributor sees the addition of ZTE to its portfolio as part of its diversification and growth strategy. Logicom has signed on a number of new vendor-parters this year, including HP Printing & Networking, NetApp, QNAP, and Jabra.
“By signing the agreement with ZTE, Logicom is entering the mobility segment, which is growing extremely fast and therefore allows us to offer additional options to our consumers. We would like to thank ZTE’s Management team for trusting us with their brand, and we are also looking to add new mobility products such as tablets to our product portfolio,” said Demetris Demetriou, General Manager, Logicom.
