Adobe Systems today announced the opening of a local office for the company’s Middle East region, based in Dubai, a significant step in reinforcing the company’s growing presence and investment in the region.
The Adobe Dubai office, headed by Abdallah Saqqa as general manager of Adobe Middle East, will be dedicated to serving and supporting partners and customers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and several other countries in the region. Prior to joining Adobe, Saqqa held several sales management positions in the region, including acting general manager and regional distribution sales manager at Advanced Micro Devices, and OEM sales manager for Microsoft.
With the opening of the company’s office in Dubai, Adobe will provide a stronger focus on meeting the unique customer requirements of the region, empowering and supporting the region’s channel community, and strengthening Adobe’s emerging enterprise business in the Middle East region. The Dubai team will work closely with Adobe’s network of partners to extend the benefits of Adobe’s technologies and expertise to regional businesses, designers, developers and Web users.
"Following steady year-over-year growth in the Middle East over the last five years, Adobe has reached the stage where it is important to expand our strategic focus and market commitment by investing in a local presence,” said Dr. Christopher Brennan, director, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, at Adobe. “In today’s global business environment, deeper customer engagement is integral to an organisation’s success. For 26 years, Adobe has been committed to providing innovative technologies that redefine business, entertainment and personal communications that engage people anywhere, at any time. We are now very pleased to bring more focused effort and support to our customers in the Middle East.”
“We are enthusiastic about this expansion, which will strengthen Adobe’s leadership in the region and create new opportunities for local consumers and businesses,” said Saqqa. “Adobe has enjoyed strong support from our customers and partners in the region, and the Dubai office will enable us to provide even greater support for those customers and partners.”
