The UAE is pacing towards a more digitized, ‘smart’ economy, where the possibilities of the physical and online worlds merging for a more connected future are being explored using what we know as the Internet of Things. Keeping with these trends, Etisalat’s focus this year at GITEX 2016 is ‘Sparking Innovation’, which is an extension to the company’s commitment to the ICT vision of the UAE’s leadership.
The technology showcase at the event will highlight the unlimited and inspiring possibilities of a highly connected future and cities of tomorrow, driven by Etisalat’s advanced telecom infrastructure and smart apps and solutions.
Etisalat major showcase at GITEX Technology week being held between 16-20 October in Dubai aligns with the country’s ICT vision to set the roadmap to deliver smart services to end users, businesses and government entities. Given the growing focus on Internet of Things and M2M technologies, Etisalat’s participation is dotted with the ‘smart’ projects of the future, which are inherently built on IoT and a well-connected infrastructure.
Dr Ahmed bin Ali, Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications, Etisalat Group said: “Etisalat is introducing concepts and ideas based on strong technologies and bringing world-class solutions and services that facilitate not just end-users, but also businesses and governments for a better future. When we say that innovation is at the core of Etisalat’s operations, we do not only mean it in terms of telecom technologies. We are also paving the way for smarter digital solutions and applications that will mobilise people, businesses and the government sector for a better tomorrow. GITEX Technology Week is an established and important platform that has become the cornerstone of showcasing the prowess of IT, digital services and telecom providers from world over.”
