MobiWire has announced a new MobiPrint product and will be officially unveiling it at this year’s GITEX event at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
MobiWire claims the MobiPrint2 is an all-in-one device which can provide an instant and secure data exchange for financial or similar use with real time online reporting as well as supporting offline transactions.
Using a Java based environment and connected through a mobile phone network, the terminal interacts with the customer database to process the transaction to finally print out a receipt to acknowledge the transaction, a spokesperson said.
Business models such as top-up or e-voucher have been ran in South America and South Africa with the first generation of MobiPrint and are likely to expand further to ticketing, lottery, e-wallet and many other use cases thanks to MobiPrint², it was said.

MobiWire is one of 25 French companies that will be presented at the French pavilion this year at GITEX from 14th – 18th of October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
