FEWA Dubai selects SAP to standardise divisions

The Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) in Dubai signed an agreement with SAP to standardise all divisions of FEWA on SAP software solutions.

FEWA’s objective is to provide the people of Northern Emirates excellent services and reliable supplies of electricity and water.  FEWA currently employs a workforce of over 2500 employees who constantly endeavour to see that both the quantity and quality of services provided are of the highest standards in consistency and reliability. FEWA’s mission is “to provide water and electricity as per international standards to obtain consumer’s satisfaction.”

SAP will work to assist FEWA in modernising its business application software infrastructure to ensure that the utility company will operate with the latest innovative SAP technology to promote secure, transparent, and accessible solutions. FEWA will build the authority’s services around the needs and expectations of its customers to provide services that are convenient, accessible and easy to use through its commitment to become a world leader.

The SAP Utility Solutions deployed will assist FEWA to drive significant transformational value through the implementation of a unified end-to-end SAP platform across the entire FEWA landscape.

SAP will provide FEWA access to the SAP Benchmarking Program which will allow FEWA to compare and measure its performance in the industry. SAP will assist FEWA to accelerate and achieve its objectives of continuous improvement across   a set of defined business best practices offered by SAP’s Value Engineering.  Both FEWA and SAP executives are committed to regular strategic sessions to discuss innovation and leadership in the areas of continuous improvement across power generation, transmission and distribution, customer services and IT business solutions for the utility industry.

SAP and FEWA will also conduct annual meetings focusing on innovative solutions to support SmartGrids, demand side management, smart metering and pre-payment, renewable energies, sustainable cities, CO2 reporting, and overall energy sustainability.
